How to make Vegan Brazil Nut Parmesan
We love Brazil nuts! They are the best source of selenium on the planet. And these powerhouse nuts are also a complete protein, filled with vitamins and minerals. This recipe is quick and easy to prepare. Perfect for pizza, pasta, salads, stir fry’s or any dish you want to really pop with flavour.
Here's what we did with the Vegan Parmesan at lunch time today. This dish was inspired by our own dispatch legend Benny, who brought me in some of the first beans of the season. I stir fried them with some locally grown Shitake mushrooms and added a very generous amount of the Brazil Nut Parmesan.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of 2die4 Live Foods Organic Activated Brazil nuts
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt (flakes work best)
Method
- Add all ingredients to a food processor with the “s” blade. Blend until mixture turns into a crumble and clumps slightly.
- Pour into a jar or sealed container. Store in a cool dry place or refrigerate.
