What is MCT oil?
MCT (Medium Chain Triglyceride) oil is most commonly derived from coconuts or palm kernels and is also found in whole milk and butter
What are medium-chain triglycerides?
Triglyceride is just a fancy name for fat. Most of the dietary fats we consume are long-chain triglycerides. The main difference between long and medium-chain triglycerides is how they are digested and processed in the body.
MCTs are more easily digested and processed rapidly in the liver where they are transformed into an instant source of energy, and therefore much less likely to be turned into fat stores in the body.
What are some of the potential health and other benefits of using MCT oil?
- Promote weight loss

- Reduce lactate build up in athletes
- Could help manage neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s, autism, epilepsy.
- Powerful antimicrobial and anti-fungal
- Promote heart health
- Control blood sugar levels
