Hummus is a popular spread or dip that is loved the world over. Getting the right balance of flavour and texture is key to making a really good one. Thanks to Kirstie @themobilenutritionist for this recipe and the brilliant idea of how to make a toast snack into a protein-packed meal.
INGREDIENTS
400g of dried chickpeas (soaked overnight)
4 tbs aquafaba (the liquid from the chickpea soak)
1/2 cup tahini
1/3 cup olive oil
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
1 garlic clove, minced
METHOD
1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth
2. Spread on your fave toast and top with crispy chickpeas (see recipe below)
3. your favourite spice and fresh herbs
