We love a unique recipe made by a creative nutritionist! What are zoats we hear you ask? Well they are a delicious mix of oats and zucchini with so many other yummy things. Created by 2die4 Live Foods Brand Ambassador Belle Howard.
Spiked Protein Zoats
1/2 zucchini, grated
1 cup milk/plant mylk or water (I choose almond milk)
1 pinch of salt - optional
Add all of the above to a saucepan and bring to the boil, after five minutes, add the below.
1/2 cup frozen berries of choice (Raspberries work well)
1 serve plant based protein powder of choice (whey doesn't work well when heated), vanilla, plain or chocolate work well
1 serve collagen powder (I use marine) - discretionary
Mix well to combine while on the heat. Pour into a bowl and add some fun additions! I often go with the below.
1 - 2 tsp peanut butter
Drizzle of kefir yogurt or normal yogurt
Note: Your chosen protein powder will affect the colour and consistency!
The beauty of the protein zoats is that they're versatile and you can add/subtract ingredients depending on what you're feeling like that day. It's a macro-balanced meal and fun to put together :)
