It was a magic moment when Lily Offen walked into the 2die4 Live Foods factory in Byron Bay. Full of can do attitude and a passion for making food, Lily shared that she had some brilliant ideas for using activated nuts for some unique snack recipes. Her talent and inspiration brought about a new range for 2die4 Live Foods and the magic continues .....
Originating from the UK, Lily has always had an adventurous spirit. Her love of travelling has often been inspired by the opportunity to experience new culinary delights and learn from traditional, homestyle ways.
During a short time living in Dubai Lily explored the food bazaars, full of aromas and colour. It was then she knew her love of food would bring her many experiences during her future travels. She spent her 18th birthday in New York City and has fond memories of a classic New York deli with gourmet meats and cheeses.
Greece was her absolute favourite place when she travelled through Europe. The richness of staying with local families and appreciating the 'farm to plate' lifestyle, was a huge inspiration for learning more about organic food. While on the island of Corfu, Lily had a Greek Salad made from all organic ingredients from her host's farm. The greek cheese, the olives, and the salad were firmly etched in her memories of her stay.
With this passion for travel and food firmly fixed in her dreams for the future, Lily bought a one-way ticket to New Zealand. There she met some kindred spirits who were starting an organic yoghurt business. As their first Production Manager, Lily saw the heart and vision that went into growing an organic food business. While in NZ she started a food travel blog with the plan to share the stories of her travels and all that she learnt of local culture and food. She has also spent time in Samoa, where she learnt from the locals and then recreated some of the traditional Samoan recipes for her blog.
After a year in NZ she decided it was time to come to Australia. On a mission to find an organic health food company to share her passion for creating new recipes, Lily came straight to Byron Bay. Within less than a month Lily had shown up at the 2die4 Live Foods door with a list of ideas for new snacks using super-foods and some great inspiration for enhancing flavours in the existing activated nuts range. Her super fun and creative personality has been a joy for the whole team for nearly 6 years now.
Lily's generous spirit has her baking cakes for the staff's birthdays and sometimes a delicious warm tray of organic seedy bread or fresh praline is left in the staff kitchen for everyone to share. All from 2die4 Live Foods ingredients of course....
Lily is super proud of the creations she has made for 2die4 Live Foods. Instrumental in creating the Holy Cacao, Masala Cashews, the Hemptations Range and the Alchemia Range of snacks, Lily is excited to now see the release of the activated TRAIL MIX.
